So I was looking at my blog today (I am 98% sure thats the only reason why there is any viewer activity listed) and I realized that this blog has just become a catalog of cute things my students say. Yes, they are very cute things...but its probably getting boring. I will try and be better about posting other things too. I mean, my students really are more exciting than MY life updates, but I will try and get a little more creative.
Stay tuned for some potentially more serious posts coming. Nothing ground breaking, just overflow from whats been on my mind... ( I know, you are on the edge of your seat! )

Girls...
Yes, he has hit the nail right on the head.
I am embarrassed to say that this is 100% true. Actually...I am not embarrassed at all. I secretly believe that boys do this too!

“Some say that the age of chivalry is past, that the spirit of romance is dead. The age of chivalry is never past, so long as there is a wrong left unredressed on earth.” - Charles Kinglsey
Thank you to the mother and father
who taught my second grade student chivalry.
I absolutely loved hearing "Ladies first,"
as we began our game of Connect Four!

Hola!
Adios Asorita!
These were the wonderful words spoken by one of my favorite students after I said "Adios Amigo!" as he was leaving the speech room. (Can I just brag a little for him and say his /s/'s were PERFECT!) So, I know that he meant senorita...but I decided to google Asorita to see what he actually called me.
The first thing that came up was, in fact, "Did you mean, Senorita?"
Nice work Asorito!!...Or would it just be Asor? Dang, I wish I knew more Spanish.

America - "Lonely People"
Is there a way to blog this without seeming depressed and...well, lonely...for lack of a better word?
Nope, I'm not complaining, or sitting here being lonely. (I know that it 100% looks like that, so I don't blame you for thinking that, but stop it, because thats not how it is!)
This is for all the lonely people

This is for all the lonely people
Thinking that life has passed them by
Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup
And ride that highway in the sky
Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup
And ride that highway in the sky
This is for all the single people
Thinking that love has left them dry
Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup
You never know until you try
Thinking that love has left them dry
Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup
You never know until you try
Well, I'm on my way
Yes, I'm back to stay
Well, I'm on my way back home (Hit it)

Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup
And never take you down or never give you up
You never know until you try

Really, all I want to know is, what is "the silver cup." I mean, apparently we can't give up until we drink from it...but after I drink from it, then do we give up? Hmmmm. Also, why would a lonely person want to ride "that highway in the sky?" Are there lots of people on the highway so they won't be lonely anymore?
Anyway, this song came on Pandora, and it caught my eye (ear), and I had to look it up.
Again, can I please reiterate, I don't feel lonely. I don't feel like love has left me dry. I don't feel like life is passing me by. I DO feel single, but I think thats a good thing. If I felt married, I would be a little worried...
p.s. Can I also say that the man in the middle has very pretty hair?

Even more.
Me: "Okay, I'm going to need you to go down to another classroom to pick up the other friend!"
4th grade boy: "Okay!!"
Me: "You can't run, just walk."
4th grade boy: "Ohhh, ...ok!! Can I skip??"
Me: "Nope, no running, no skipping, only walking."
4th grade boy: "Oookaaay."
--2 minutes later the boys come in, red faced and breathing heavy--
Me: "I thought you weren't going to run!?"
4th grade boy: "I didn't!"
Me: "You didn't run? Then why are you red?"
4th grade boy: "I didn't run, and I didn't skip! ... ... ... I galloped."
