"To eat well in England you should have breakfast three times a day." W. Somerset Maugham

First meal of Tuesday, January 18th? Well, I guess its pretty much the same thing I've been having for breakfast every day for the past few weeks - because I LOVE IT! Basically scrambled eggs with veggies (onions, tomatoes, red peppers, cilantro, zucchini, mushrooms, garlic)...I guess its more like sauteed veggies with some scrambled eggs. Yummm, add some mozzarella cheese right at the end and its to DIE for!!
Its basically the reason I get up in the morning.

Maybe its worth making a movie about?

Pictures of the Praxis

Today was it. Praxis day! I have successfully finished it! (Notice that I use the term, successfully finished but not successfully passed...) I won't find out about that for a few weeks, 4 weeks actually.

Here are a few pictures I found that accurately describe the experience. The first four I found when I looked up the word "Praxis" on google images.

1. This is the intense studying experience required before taking the test...which I probably should have done more of...

2. This is what will be required to make it through the next few weeks until scores come.

3. This picture is awesome! WHY did it come up under praxis? I don't even know. But I wish I could say it was like this at all!!

4.I don't have the same question with this picture...its obvious why this came up under the search "Praxis"

5. Laura and I rode together, and this is our post-praxis face :) So happy to be done! Wahoo!

6. Last - this is what I will feel like if I find out in 4 weeks that I have passed!!

The time has come the walrus said, to talk of many things... thats all I know of that poem. I've never actually read it, I just heard it on Harriet the Spy. I usually think of that part though when I think of the phrase "it's time" in any situation. Nevertheless, the time HAS come. Well...it WILL come in less than two weeks. On Monday, January 24th I drive leave Springfield MO for Vancouver WA-A journey that will last about 36 hours of driving in the car. I am so incredibly excited, but am starting to really get sad too - I've had a lot of good times here at 65802.

Here is whats been going on lately:

Merry Christmas!! This was at the second annual SLP Holiday Extravaganza!! I am going to miss these girls SO MUCH! Its not even really real right now that we aren't going to spend every day together in the clinic.

Happy New Year! (I promise thats Welch's.)

Still celebrating the new year :) Happy 2011!! There was a big bonfire at the Guison's house - it was so fun!

Yep, thats us taking first day of school pictures. Even when you're in grad school you can do that. This one is especially significant because its my LAST first day of school. (Its also significant because secretly its ten o clock at night and we are pretending that it was before we left for school...shhhh).
And this one is Sarah and I making delicious quiche on a sunday afternoon :)

I just realized I don't have any Christmas Pictures on my camera...so when I get them from home I can post those too!!

I promise I haven't forgotten you!! Its in my planner to write a real blog post tomorrow... (yes, procrastination, a man's best friend). Don't worry though - all is well with me! The break has been treating me so well-do I really have to go back to school? I have some good pictures and things to update you all with tomorrow!
Sit tight - I'll be back :)

If a picture is worth a thousand words...

The pictures to follow are ONE HUNDRED PERCENT a joke!! Please don't forget that at anytime while looking at this post! We KNOW that we look ridiculous, but we did have a blast taking them :) Sarah works at JC Penney so we decided to go take some roommate Christmas pics!!

I'm going to do my best with the captions so you feel like you are actually there!

What an excellent start... I know I can't wink, YOU know I can't wink. Why must people constantly ask me to prove this fact? And why must my mouth be open like that when I try...?

What? Are we standing next to a beautiful white fence with perfectly snowy trees in the background?? This calls for a back-to-back picture for SURE!

She looks so pretty when she laughs!!

This REALLY is what my face (and hands) look like when a phantom Santa arm hands us a present! Codi is just ready to graciously accept the gift and get out of there!

Totally natural to have strings of ornaments around your neck. We were going for "be the tree" on this one. It IS my favorite one though!

Ummmmm I don't think words can describe this.

You have no idea how LONG this took us to set up. Maybe as long as it will take for me to get rid of that wrinkly chin!!

All I remember about this one is whining about being in the front...so we switched :)

Yeah, this is a totally natural looking pose for roommates huh? I feel like she should be feeding me grapes or something as a recline on the couch and she kneels behind me!

I believe right as this one was taken, Codi said: "Devery, a boy just brought you 24 roses to church!"

Don't judge. I really wanted that cookie apparently - even if it was a mysterious glove handing it to us!

See how excited I am?? I must have wanted it really badly!

I hope you enjoyed all of those picture. Thanks again to JC Penney Portraits for a good time and great pictures...well...at least a good time ;) Sarah you are the best!

Oh, and I almost forgot - we ALSO made Holiday greeting cards - so let me know if you would like one haha!!
